Abstract

The value of exports originating from Sumatera Barat in August 2023 was US$223.21
million, a decrease of 1.43 percent compared to exports in July 2023. The most exported category of goods in August 2023 was animal/vegetable fats & oils (HS 15 ) amounting to US$178.52 million, followed by the salt, sulfur, lime (HS 25) group at US$8.47 million, and the various chemical products group (HS 38) at US$7.89 million.
The import value of Sumatera Barat in August 2023 was US$35.89 million, an increase of 32.54 percent compared to imports in July 2023.
The largest category of imported goods in August 2023 was mineral fuel (HS 27) amounting to US$26.91 million.
